Robert Louis Stevenson (13. november 1850 i Edinburgh, Skotland – 3. december 1894 i Vailima, Samoa) var en skotsk forfatter, essayist, digter og rejsefortæller. Hans forfatterskab spænder bredt over genrer som eventyr, gotisk rædsel, noveller og rejseprosa, og han er især blevet husket for sine stærke fortællinger med tydelige atmosfærer og psykologisk intensitet. Stevenson blev tidligt anerkendt som historiefortæller, og hans roman og novelleproduktion gjorde ham til en af den victorianske periodes markante litterære stemmer.
