Nella Larsen (født Nellie Walker, 13. april 1891 – 30. marts 1964) var en amerikansk forfatter, sygeplejerske og bibliotekar. Hun er især kendt som en central stemme i Harlem-renæssancen, hvor hun med skarpt psykologisk blik skildrer race, identitet og tilhørsforhold i et USA præget af sociale grænsedragninger. Larsen skrev i 1920’erne og publicerede romanerne Quicksand (1928) og Passing (1929), som begge er blevet kanoniseret i studier af afroamerikansk litteratur og modernisme. Passing er en roman, der kredser om to barndomsveninder, hvis liv og selvopfattelse bliver vendt og forrykket af de muligheder og farer, der følger med “at passere” i majoritetens øjne. Hun arbejdede i perioder som sygeplejerske og børnebibliotekar, hvilket også bidrog til hendes tætte observation af hverdagsliv og institutionelle strukturer. Efter en tid med litterær stilhed blev hendes værker genopdaget og fremhævet i akademia fra slutningen af 1900-tallet og står i dag som betydelige bidrag til fortællekunsten og til forståelsen af race- og kønspolitik i tidlig 20.-århundredes amerikansk kultur.
