Mary Shelley (født Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, 30. august 1797, død 1. februar 1851) var en engelsk forfatter, bedst kendt for at have skrevet den gotiske roman Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. Hun udgav fortællingen første gang i 1818, og romanen regnes som en tidlig og afgørende tekst inden for moderne science fiction og horror.
