Forfatterbiografi

Maggie Nelson (født 1973) er en amerikansk forfatter, hvis skrivning bevæger sig på tværs af poesi, kritisk essayistik og memoir. Hun er kendt for en form for “genre-brydning”, hvor personlige erfaringer, kunst- og litteraturanalyse samt teoretiske perspektiver flettes sammen, ofte med særligt fokus på kærlighed, køn, seksualitet og frihed. Hendes gennemslagskraft hænger også sammen med evnen til at gøre idéhistoriske og filosofiske spørgsmål til nære, litterære oplevelser. Nelson har udgivet flere anerkendte bøger, herunder Bluets (2009) og The Argonauts (2015), der blandt andet beskriver forholdet til kunstneren Harry Dodge og deres vej mod forældreskab.
