Charlotte Perkins Gilman (født 3. juli 1860 i Hartford, Connecticut, USA; død 17. august 1935 i Pasadena, Californien) var en amerikansk feminist, foredragsholder og forfatter, kendt for at forene litteratur med socialreform. Hun skrev både fiktion og sagprosa og arbejdede i traditionen for utopisk fortællekunst, debatroman og samfundskritik. Hendes mest kendte værker omfatter novellen “The Yellow Wallpaper” og romanen/novellen Herland (1915), som er en banebrydende feministisk utopi om et samfund uden mænd, hvor læseren udfordres i synet på køn, opdragelse og social organisering. Gilman knyttes også til en større reformorienteret produktion, der blandt andet omhandler kvinders økonomiske vilkår og kritik af fastlåste kønsroller, og hun virkede som redaktør og udgiver af The Forerunner, hvor flere af hendes utopiske tekster blev bragt.
